Fall Fling this Saturday!
This Saturday (November 1), the LifePoint kids ministry is throwing a Fall Fling from 6pm to 8pm. Come to help run games, eat some chili, and just hang out.
Stick around after the Fall Fling and we’ll watch a movie, build a fire in the fire pit, and maybe play some pumpkin bowling!

This Wednesday (October 22), we continue our series called I <3 (I Heart) with I <3 ME.
In Matthew 22:39, Jesus says that the second greatest commandment is to “love your neighbor as yourself.” But what if you don’t love yourself? What if you’ve been told your whole life that you are worthless? And what if the way you think about yourself affects the way you love others?

30 Hour Famine

29,000 children die everyday because of hunger or hunger-related diseases. More than 850 million people are hungry (like, for real hungry, not skipped-snack-tonight hungry), more than 300 million of which are children.
Do something.
Raise money, to be sent to World Vision, who can feed a child for $1 a day. Then join us on a fast for 30 hours to get just a taste of what it’s like to be hungry. Ask people to sponsor you for $1 for every hour you go without food and they’ll feed a child for a whole month.

Bible Study Tools to Help You Grow
Wednesday, August 20, we talked about reading, praying, enjoying, and studying God’s Word.
Here are a few online study tools.
- biblegateway.com - Great site to search the Bible and look up Scripture in different versions. If you ever have a verse at the tip of your tongue but you forgot where it is, this is a great place to go.
- youversion.com - This is like the Bible’s web 2.0 social website. You can search and look up passages here, and you can also see comments, images, videos, commentaries, etc. from other users, pastors, and churches as well post your own.
- blueletterbible.com - This site is filled with a lot of tools, including commentaries from theologians and pastors (from the past and near present), maps and images, devotionals, and Greek and Hebrew references. This is a great in-depth study tool.
If you are looking for more of a devotional, 268 Generation’s Thirsty Journal is amazing. It’s free and online.
